THURSDAY (Before Mr Raymond Ferner, S.M.) REMANDED s Alfred Walter Gilling, aged 19 years, and Kenneth Maxwell Ward, aged 19, were remanded to appear on May 13 on charges of conversion of a car valued at £3OO, the property of Lloyd Edward Thorne, a car valued at £3OO the property of William Arthur Wingham, and with the theft of medical supplies of a total value of £2 12s 2d, the property of the New Zealand Government Railways. Thomas Joseph Fang Green, aged 33, was remanded to appear at Wellington on May 16. when charged with failing to present himself when ordered to do so on October 28, 1942, under the National Service Emergency Regulations. LIQUOR NEAR DANCE HALL. For being in possession of liquor near a dance hall while a dance was in progress Theo Boyle, Norma Clark, Keith Gordon Comby. Stanley Maurice McAdam, Robert Clephane, Maxwell Herbert Fisher. Russell Henry Henderson, Albert Leslie Scott, Raymond Mervyn Leslie Trustum, Stanley Leslie Matthews, and John Thomas O’Grady were each fined £3. COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE Charles Stanton Turner, a clerk, aged 47 (Mr T. A. Gresson), pleaded guilty to a charge of indecently assaulting a male and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. CIVIL CASES (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) Judgment for plaintiffs by default was given in the following civil cases: Eric Philp Wills v. Harold Leslie Munro, £23 14s; Cash Order Purchases, Ltd., v. Stanley McJarrow, £2 Bs. POSSESSION ORDERS An order for possession forthwith in favour of Mrs S. A. Fellow and judgment for £29 15s arrears in rent, were entered against C. C. Kiddey, the warrant not to be issued provided current rent is paid and 10s a week paid off arrears. An order for possession forthwith and judgment for £B5 10s arrears of rent were made In favour of John Edward Tait and Tristan Manufacturing Company. Ltd., i against' J. Fraser, the warrant not to be issued as long as current rent and 10s a week, off arrears is paid, in default made for 14 days, warrant to be issued forthwith. JUDGMENT SUMMONS On a judgment summons, T. R. Mooney was ordered to pay Kevin John McMenamin, £8 4s forthwith, in default seven days’ imprisonment.
