BIRDWOOD OF ANZAC.—Field-Marshal Lord Birdwood stops to talk to an Australian soldier at an Ansae Day ceremony in London. Lord Birdwood commanded the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli in 1915 and was Commander-in-Chief of the Dardanelles Army at the evacuation of Gallipoli Peninsula.
