H.M.N.Z.S. BELLONA DIVERTED
CRUISER WILL NOT CALL AT LYTTELTON
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. April 16. H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona will arrive at the Devonport naval base on Saturday after taking part in combined manoeuvres with the Royal Australian Navy. The cruiser was originally expected te berth at Lyttelton on Saturday. but she has been diverted and will sail direct to Auckland from Hobart. Fourteen New Zealand soldiers are on the Bellona. Three are commissioned officers returning for furlough from the Indian Army, and the others are men of J-force who are returning on compassionate leave. Al] have been awaiting passage in Australia.
