THE MUTUAL LIFE and CITIZENS’ ASSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (Incorporated in Australia) The M.L.C. renders its annual account of services for the year 1946. In recording the deaths during the year of the holders of 7711 policies, it offers its sympathy to their families. It paid £1,091,697 in death .benefits and £1,554,50S to living policyholders. Since it was founded it has paid £54,254,777 to policyholders and beneficiaries. The New Business written in the Ordinary Branch amounted to £18,104,810 and in the Industrial Branch £7,033,209. The total business in force now stands at £154,305,126, a substantial gain during the year, the number of policies in force being 1,006,508.
