In recording the deaths during the year of the holders of 7711 policies, it offers its sympathy to their families. It paid £1,091,697 in death .benefits and £1,554,50S to living policyholders. Since it was founded it has paid £54,254,777 to policyholders and beneficiaries. The New Business written in the Ordinary Branch amounted to £18,104,810 and in the Industrial Branch £7,033,209. The total business in force now stands at £154,305,126, a substantial gain during the year, the number of policies in force being 1,006,508.
