STOCK EXCHANGES ADVANCES IN SEVERAL MORE ISSUES Prices were generally firm and some shares again showed advances on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. The volume of business was moderate. A sale of 200 Felt and Textiles. Australia shares, was reported at 61s 3d, showing a rise of Is 3d. British Tobacco shares maintained their i last sale price at 565. Broken Hill Pty. shares were 6d firmer when 100 shares changed hands at 51s 9d. Selfridges, Australasia shares, had reported business at the unchanged rate of 50s, but there were subsequent sellers at 49s lid. Woolworths New Zealand ordinary shares (Vere sold at the unchanged price of 30s, and 300 Austral N.Z. mining shares, which changed hands at Ils 6d, showed no alteration in price. In the unlisted section, 300 Whakatane Paper Mills, ordinary shares, showed a rise of Id at 6s Bd. DOMINION TRANSACTIONS Christchurch
