Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: an anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: light to moderate variable winds. Some morning cloud, otherwise fair, but rather cold. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the Couth Island is:— Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Weather fair to fine and cool. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather was fine yesterday, with sunshine and passing cloud. There was a light south-west wind. The maximum temperature was 55/2 degrees. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was calm and overcast. The barometer was steady at 30.25 inches (1024.4 millibars).
