Sir, —At the meeting on April 21 in the Clyde road hall, will the council inform the ratepayers as to the amount paid for the hall and the total cost of all attractions? Also, were the alterations authorised by one councillor primarily for the benefit of the kindergarten and play centre, without ascertaining the requirements of other local groups and individuals of ratepayers, so that the hall might be available for the community as a whole, such as kindergarten, play centre, library, scouts, guides, meetings, and dances?—Yours, etc., INTERESTED RATEPAYER. April 14, 1947.
