SUMNER ASSOCIATION
MR G. F. ALLEN ELECTED PRESIDENT
The annual meeting of the Sumner Association was held last evening and the following officers were elected: patron Dr. P. C. Fenwick: president, Mr G. F. Allen; hon. treasurer, Dr. J. D. Thomson; hon. secretary, Mr A. Dowgray; committee. Messrs F. W. J Murdoch, E. J. Ebert, T. M. Lane, M. Manhire. Miss D. K. Garrick and Mrs W. Owen.
The recent alteration in tramway fares was discussed, and it was decided that the committee get in touch with the Redcliffs Burgesses’ Association and the local branch of the Returned Services’ Association with the object of holding a ptfblic meeting to discuss the matter and sending a deputation to make representations to the Tramway Board.
