APPEAL DISALLOWED
MAGISTRATE’S SENTENCE UPHELD
An appeal by Isobella Goodfellow, a married woman (Mr J. A. Kennedy) against her conviction and sentence to three days’ imprisonment with hard labour by Mr Raymond Ferner, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court in November, on a charge of being unlawfully on premises, was disallowed by Mr Justice Fleming in a reserved decision given in the Supreme Court yesterday. Mr T. A. Gresson represented the Public Trustee, who laid the original information. The appeal was heard last Friday.
