WAR IN CHINA
FIGHTING IN SHENSI AND SHANTUNG (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) NANKING, March 31. Nationalist and Communist forces are reported to be engaged in a heavy artillery duel at Wayaopao, 45 miles north of Yenan. Nationalist forces on the Shantung front are said to have broken into Taian, 35 miles south of the Communist stronghold of Tsinan.
