Salaries of Academic Heads
The salaries to be paid to academic heads of university colleges were referred to at a meeting of the Auckland University College Council. The president, Mr W. H. Cocker, said that the Government was now prepared to pay a salary of £2OOO to college principals if circumstances warranted. -Mr Cocker added that there was doubt about what was meant by the qualification “if circumstances warranted” The subject would be discussed at a meeting of the standing committee of 28 (Pg’s ) nC<! ° f colleges on March
