The men have a feeling of frustration, and are of the opinion that tne present position should not arise whereby thev have to cease work to service their homes manually. All representations to the Grey County Council bv the secretary of the union branches have so far brought negative results.” The threatened stoppage has been averted bv the action of the Grey County Council in arranging facilities tor the transDort of urgently-needed supplies of water to homes in the district. A ournn has been supplied bv the Forestry Deoartment at Ahaura, and to-day it is proposed that a truck nrovided by the council will start carrvine water to ttte affected areas, if required.
