G->il for Theft.—For stealing one tin of fruit juice, valued at 2s 4d, a watersider, Rangi Victor Noble, aged 47, was sentenced to a month’s gaol in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Mr J. Morling, S.M., who sentenced Noble, said: “It has been stated in the Courts many times that for those convicted of this type of offence a term of imprisonment will follow in all cases unless there are exceptional circumstances, and I can see none here.” —(P.A.)
