CERTIFICATES OF MERIT* FOR TWO MEMBERS
Mr J. J. Noonan presided at the monthly meeting of the Belfast subbranch of the Returned Services’ Association. On behalf of the Christchurch Executive, Mr D. W. Russell (president) presented certificates of merit to Messrs W. G. Brown and G. W. Salt, in recognition of their good work for a number of years for servicemen. Mr C. Miln (district vice-president) gave a talk on rehabilitation, and Mr L. A. McKenzie (secretary) spoke about pensions Because several accounts had not been received, it was not possible to present a detailed statement of the recent gymkhana, but the secretary reports that the net profit would be not less than £l5O. Gratification was expressed at advice from the Christchurch Executive of an increase in the capitation grant and a bonus payment of £lO
