Mr A. Clarke presided at a meeting of the Christchurch Bowling Centre held last evening. A remit was approved for the annual meeting of-the New Zealand Bowling Association to alter section play in the fours competition at the championship tournament to three games a day for three days in place of two games a day for four days. The report of the match committee stated that although the Watson Shield and the Robinson Shield competitions would not close until the end of this month, the teams skipped by N. Reardon (Cashmere) and A. Albertson (Canterbury) were assured of being the respective winners for the season. With regard to the three fours championship, Canterbury and Edgeware would play off tomorrow. night a tie in section B, and the winning club would later play Sydenham, the winner of section A, for the final. In reply to a question, it was stated that the final probably would be played on a Saturday. The Spreydon team was declared the winner of the centre’s pennant competition, with the Imperial Club runner-up.
