Sir, —Some kind of federal union between the British Commonwealth and the United States of America is inevitable. Trade agreements and common defence measures must and will set the seal on Anglo-Saxon fellowship. In my emphatic opinion a federal union between Great Britain and America is daily becoming tangible, and a naval and military necessity.—Yours, etc., FREE STATE OR SLAVERY. March 7. 1947.
