THE WATERSIDERS’ CLAIMS
Sir, —If the well-fed, opulent workers of New Zealand realised the extent of the privations in England I feel sure that they would help instead of hindering the forwarding of goods. I suggest that the Government issues an
Order-in-Council, putting all strikers and their union leaders, secretaries, and families on English rations untn a settlement is reached. It would quickly facilitate matters.—Yours, etc., T ONLOOKER. January 27, 1947.
