Mr J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police, Wellington, will arrive at Greymouth to-morrow on an official visit to the West Coast police district. >
Mr Lloyd Hunter has been appointed programme organiser at station 3YA. He succeeds Mr Geoffrey Newson, who has been acting in that capacity since last April. Mr Newson is joining the Christchurch group of the National Symphony Orchestra. The deaths of four members of the Christchurch Elderly Bowlers’ Association —Messrs J. S. Barnett, J. Thomas, B. Moore, and W. Wilstead—were recorded with regret at the annual meeting of the association.
