DIVISIONS ANNOUNCED (P A A -> . . . AUCKLAND, Jan. 22. Provision has been made for divisions in the Waiatarua Handicap on the first day of the Auckland Racing Club’s meeto £ as follows:—First division: San Rosa 8-12: Grand Tourist 8-7; Super Vaals Beau Devoir 8-5; Bhopal 8-2; Eastern Charm 7-10; Chatacre 7-8; Brown Robin. Royal Gleam, Sahib, Sir Sydney, Valsan, Sir Lindsay, Doris Mabel, Miss Beau 7-7 Second division: Flying Dink 8-9; Light Opera 8-5; Charles Defoe 7-12; Fiorin 7-11-£°Y ial Song, 7-9; Faithful Knight. Red Duke, Sfik Thread, Aylesbury, Grand Gift Foxfable, Coruscant. Lady Oriwai. Bustany. Brown Velvet 7-7. • Brackets are: Grand Tourist and Silk Thread; Sir Sydney and Foxfable; Valsan and Coruscant: Sir Lindsay and Lady Orowal: --P oris Mabel and Bustany; Miss Beau and Brown Velvet. Rehandicaps for the meeting are:—Zealandia Handicap: Contango 8-13. Takapuna Cup: Leigh Hark 7-11. Waiatarua Handicap: Beau Devoir 8-5. Rangitoto Handicap: Dougal 7-7. Stake Winners The principal winners of stake money on the recent West Coast circuit were horses West Coast-owned and trained. The two representatives of Mr W. Stewart, of Kumara, Young John. and Roval Tor which are trained by C. J. Walsh at Omoto, won a total of £550. Royal Tor, with two wins and a second, won £335, while Young John won twice and was three times placed for a return of £215. Mr Stewart was also the leading owner the previous year, when Royal Tor won six races. The biggest individual winner was Sir Tague, his four wins producing £455 for his owner, Mr E. F.' O’Donnell, of Cronadun. Next on the list was Mr J. S Trowbridge, three of his representatives earning a total of £425, John o’ London £240. Chellow Dene £l3O, and Dinky Di £55. This trio is also trained by C. J. Walsh, so that he was also the leading trainer with seven winners and a total of £1077 in stakes. The locallybred Here Hine, which is held on lease by L. H. Pratt, of Orari, was the next on the list of stake-earners with £355, being a winner twice and four times runnerup in six starts.
