ACCIDENTS
MAN KILLED AND TWO INJURED TRUCK FALLS DOWN BANK (P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 21. One man was killed and two others were injured when a motor-truck skidded off a road and fell about 150 feet down a bank about five and a half miles west of Rangiriri this evening. They were:— Killed Marsh Wilson, aged about 40, of Rangiriri, a married man with nine children. Injured Spencer William Ridgley, aged 27, a farmer, of Rangiriri, and James Raymond Eyles, aged 35, married, a plumber, of Whangarei. MAN INJURED WHILE BLASTING CONCRETE Oscar Cleaver, of 20 Avon street, suffered head injuries while blasting concrete at Hornby yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital, and last evening was reported to be on the seriously ill list. RAILWAY MAN SUFFERS BROKEN ARM While working at the Middleton yards yesterday, John Heney, a surfaceman, of 5 Coronation street, was crushed by the fall of some rails. He suffered a broken arm, and was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital. His condition was described as satisfactory last evening.
