Fires in City—While a workman was burning off paint on the side qf a house occupied by Frank B. Clark,’ 10 Innes road, yesterday, a fire broke out which caused slight damage to the building and contents. The Christchurch Fire Brigade was called, at 10.24 a.m. Shortly after 6 o clock last evening, the brigade extinguished a chimney fire at 151 Barbadoes street. The occupier of the house was Beatrice Tallott.
