PRICE FOR SCENIC RESORT
£50,000 PAID BY STATE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 14. The sum of £50.000 was paid by the Internal Affairs Department to Wairakei, Ltd., for Geyser House Hotel, Wairakei. and the well-known geyser valley, which was acquired last year Ms a national asset. The price is stated by Sir Ernest Davis, the managing director, in a circular to shareholders. as “little enough,” but he adds. "As the company is constituted, it is fair and reasonable.”
