OFFICIAL FORECASTS “ The Press ” Special Service WELLINGTON, January 14. The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: a cyclonic storm northeast of the North Island is moving south-east. There is an anti-cyclone over the south Tasman Sea and southern New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate southerly winds with scattered morning drizzle; otherwise cloudy. Temperatures rather cool. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate variable winds. Weather fair to fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
