BURNHAM CAMP
300 CADETS TO ATTEND TRAINING COURSE A course for cadet non-commis-sioned officers and schoolmasters who are officers or potential officers in school cadet companies will begin at Burnham Military Camp at the end of the week. Three hundred cadets and 40 teachers from secondary schools all over the South Island are expected to undergo the training which will last for a'fortnight. Captain J. Fitzgerald N.Z.P.S., will be staff officer in charge of training, which will cover the general syllabus of infantry, medical, signals, field and anti-tank artillery, machine-gun and mortar work. Personnel from Southland, Otago, West Coast. Canterbury, and Nelson will be in camp by Friday, and after church services next Sunday visitors will be admitted to the establishment.
