The Oxford University Press in association with the Pilgrim Trust are publishing a senes of four volumes of a pictorial record of the changing face of Britain. The first volume is now to hand and deals with London and Middlesex-Surrev-Berkshire - Buckinghamshire - Hertfordshire - Bedfordshire. 85 arti ® te were commissioned to illustrate the volumes. Among them are: Stanley Anderson, R A ■ Walter Bayes, W. Russell Flint, Martin Hardie. Ruskm Spear A.R.A.; Michael Rothenstein. Thomas Hennell. This first volume has approximately 105 beautiful plates besides the text in its 222 pages.
