Pressure is low north of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate or fresh winds from an easterly quarter. Weather cloudy, with moderate temperatures. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate easterly winds. Weather fair to fine and mild. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine, with a light south-west wind. The maximum temperature was 64.2 degrees.
