The last shot was fired as Brinkman got over a bridge. . Brinkman said he ran to a bank, jumped over and stayed there. He later d-ageed himself to a road where he was found by a cyclist. The witness identified a cigarette case, a lighter, and a fountain pen as his. He said he had left the articles in his house. He had never seen the accused before Sunday. To Mr McKenzie, Brinkman said he was not absolutely certain which accused fired the shot, although he thought it was the older boy. The accused were remanded to appear at Auckland on January 20.
