Misappropriation Alleged in China. —“Chinese national rehabilitation and engineering work will be liquidated immediately because of the alleged misappropriation of property of an estimated value of £1.000,000.009 Chinese dollars—equal to 300.000 United States dollars.” says the Shanghai correspondent of the Associated Press. “Charges have been filed against an Australian, Hubert R. Heath, and six Chinese.”— Shanghai, January 10.
