Impressive Performance Golden Amazon outclassed his field when he won the 3min 56sec class event for improving trotters •in 3min 39 l-ssec at the matinee meeting. Beginning smartly from the 36 yards mark. Golden Amazon took the lead at the end of two and a half furlongs, and with the first mile and a-quarter covered In 2min 48sec, he was about 20 lengths clear of Bonny Scott. Suzerain. Ginger Joe, and Who Knows. F. G. Holmes eased up Golden Amazon in the straight, and the Quite Sure gelding was only going about half-pace when he passed the winning post three seconds in front of Bonny Scott. Port Bowen. Suzerain, and Who Knows all marred their efforts by breaking.
