TWO RACES DIVIDED AT MANAWATU
(P.A.) PALMERSTON N., Dec. 17. The number of acceptors in the Maiden Plate and the Giliies Hack Handicap on the first day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting on December 21 is in excess of the safety number, and provision has been made for divisions as follows:
MAIDEN PLATE, of £300; seven furlongs; weight 8-7.—First Division: Aurora’s Song, Ardavale, Afton Water, Beau Court, Beguile, Cinereous, Commercial, Evening Star, Gay Sport, Glebefield, Homespun. Second Division: Alumnus, Arctic Circle, Aristea, Begowned, Coronara, Centennial Pride, Dusky Pete, First Act, Grey Morn. Hoariri Bay, Jasper, Matara, Red Foil, Sunburn, Silver Mascot, Sheilwyn, Variant Night. GILLIES HACK HANDICAP, of £400; seven furlongs.—First Division: Prefa 9-4; Tanith 8-11; Lady Burford 8-7; Emerge 8-5; Trig Point 8-4; Revivre 8-3; Culloden Moor 8-0; Superium 7-12; Filature, Manutere 7-10: Rhodesian 7-9; Balcairn, Master Gain, Pola 7-7.
