NO EXPORT OF WHEAT
N.S.W. GOVERNMENT’S DECISION (Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 31. “Because of the severe drought, the New South Wales Government is strongly opposed to 1 the export of any more wheat from current stocks within the State,” said the Minister of Agriculture (Mr E. H. Graham) last night. “The harvest is not likely to exceed 19,000,000 bushels and the department has decided that export must cease in the interests of the State. “Any overseas shipments in the next 12 months will have to be from other States. Production will fall short of New South Wales needs by at least 12,000,000 bushels,.”
