HINDU DEMAND FOR RECALL (R ec. 1145 P- m -> LONDON, Oct. 31. The acting-president of the AllIndia Hindu Mahasabha Party (Mr Moonjee) has cabled to the Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) and the Secretary of State for India (Lord PethickLawrence) accusing the Governor of Bengal (Sir Frederick Burrows) of incompetence, and demanding his immediate recall,” reports.the Calcutta correspondent of the "Daily Mail.” "Sir Frederick Burrows has been fiercely criticised because he remained in Darjeeling during the Noakhali disturbances. He returned to Calcutta last Tuesday.”
