MOVEMENT OF WORKERS
QUESTIONS PUT TO RUSSIANS
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, October 30. The British and American representatives on the Co-ordinating Committee of the Allied Control Council, at a meeting yesterday, requested information on the movement of German specialists and skilled workers to Russia from the Russian zone of Germany, says the Berlin correspondent of “The Times.”
The Russian representative, General Kurochkin, was unable to give the information sought, but agreed to discuss the question at the committee’s
The questions included: How many Germans were involved’ Were they under contracts? Were the contracts voluntary? What is the duration of the contracts? Were the workers permitted to refuse? And where were the workers taken? .
