A. Eastaugh. It will be glad to hear, before 31st December, 1946, from anyone who would like to be considered for the appointment. The salary of the position is £1250 per annum, to which the University will add a yearly sum equal to 10 per cent, by way of contribution to the Sydney University Professorial Superannuation System: the Professor’s own contribution to the system will be at the rate of 5 per cent, ©f his salary. In addition, the Professor will be entitled to receive a pension of £4OO per annum upon retirement after attaining the age of 60 years. Clunies Ross, and to the Hughes Chair of Veterinary Pathology and Bacteriology, which has just been created in this University. The salary for each Chair is £*2so per annum, to which the University will add a yearly sum equal to 10 per cent, by way of contribution to the Sydney University Professorial Superannuation System: the Professor s own contribution to the system will be at the rate of 5 per cent, of his salary.
