Colombo Bank Clerks’ Strike.-
Ceylon Executive Council decided to introduce legislation for compulsory arbitration to end the 12 days r strike of Colombo’s 1000 bank clerks because of the inconvenience and hardships the strike has caused to the public. The strike has virtually paralysed business in Ceylon. The Clerks’ Union has agreed to submit its claims to arbitration.—Colombo. Sept. 18.
