INQUESTS HELD
A verdict that Mabel Alice Balfour, aged 59, of Christchurch, died on August 39 of heart failure following myocarditis and coronary artery degeneration, was returned by the Coroner, Mr H. P. Lawry, at an inquest yesterday, , An inquest into the death of James Kennedy, a farmer, aged 72, of Klrwee, was adjourned to Darneld, Preliminary evidence showed that Kennedy was killed Instantly when the motorwear he was driv. ing collided with the Christchurch-Grey-mouth express on a crossing outside the Kirwee station on August 24.
