SECOND ROUND COMPLETED The second round in both A and B sections in the New Zealand amateur snooker championship was concluded yesterday. V. Choat scored a well received win against A. Albertson, compiling two nice breaks of 30 and 33. The only player left in with two lives is J. Munro, th£ rest havirig one life each. Results:—W. McCowatt (Auckland) beat F. Anson (Canterbury), by three games to 2. Scores: McCowatt, 42, 58, 44, 32, 69; Anson, 29, 50, 73, 51, 63. V. Choat (Canterbury) beat A. Albertson (Canterbury) by three games to one. Scores: Choat, 50, 24, 58, 67; Albertson, 29, 51, 20, 54. J. Munro (Canterbury) beat A. Rudduck (Otago) by three games to nil. Scores: Munro, 58, 58, 68; Ruddock, 21, 32, 20. W. Smith (Canterbury) beat R. Whitford ■ (Canterbury) by three games to one. . Scores: Smith, 43, 53, 60, 83; Whitford, ! 54, 38, 32, 51.
The draw for to-day is as follows: afternoon, A. Billens v. R. Whitford and J. Munro v. F. Anson; evening, V. Choat v. J. Munro and W. McCowatt v. W. Smith.
