MR NASH CORRECTS THE BUDGET
MILLION WRONGLY INSERTED TWICE (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, August 21. Opposition members had some fun at the expense of the Minister of Finance (the Rt. Hon. W. Nash) when he made a correction in the printed copy of hrs Budget in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr Nash said that in the figures for net average private incomes the word million had been wrongly inserted twice. In the context the word had no meaning. Mr C. M. Bowden (Opposition, Wellington West): Only force of habit. Mr Nash: It doesn’t alter the meaning in the slightest degree, f Mr W. S. Goosman (Opposition. Waikato): Is that all that’s wrong with the Budget? Mr Nash: There’s so much that’s right with it
