MILITARY AWARDS
Sir, —“Territorial,” under the heading of “Military Awards.’’ has struck a sound note. A great job of work was done in some territorial units during the war years, and many of us who later served with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. have to be thankful for what was learned in these before going overseas. Many instructors did not wear any ‘service ribbons, but they were able and efficient in carrying out their duties. Apart from actual battle experience I had little to learn overseas; which makes me, with many others, reflect with pride on my old unit and its achievements, and I feel some recognition is due to those responsible. —Yours, etc., 2/CANT.
