U.S. Open Golf Tournament.—Entries for the Un|ted States open golf tournament, the first national post-war tournament, total 1165. The tournament will be played on the Canterbury course at Cleveland on June 13 and 15 with qualifying rounds scheduled_at 26 different courses on June 3. The open tournament has not been held since 1941.—New York, May 22.
