FEDERATED FARMERS
AUCKLAND PROVINCE TO BE FORMED
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 22. The movement towards unity in the representation of farmers’ interests throughout the Dominion was advanced by a decision made at the annual conference of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Auckland Province. After a long discussion in committee the following statement was issued: “It is announced that the difficulties have been resolved between the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Auckland Province, and the Federated Farmers of New Zealand. By an agreement reached in conference to-day, Federated Farmers, Auckland Province, is to be formed under the Incorporated Societies Act. The rules of this and the Dominion body are to be co-ordinated pending fresh consideration of all the rules at the coming Dominion conference of the parent body. Further points are that the Auckland Province is to continue to collect subscriptions due from its own members, and that any outstanding matters in dispute are to be submitted to arbitration.”
