FIRE BRIGADE ANSWERS TWO CALLS
The upholstery of a motor-car owned by Mr H. W. Wheeler was damaged considerably by fire about 6 o’clock last evening. The car was parked at Mr Wheeler’s home at 237 Lyttelton street. The Christchurch Fire Brigade answered a call to the outbreak, and the fire was extinguished before any damage to the engine of the car occurred. The brigade was called to a fire which broke out in a bedroom on thd first floor of Coker’s Hotel about 8 o’clock yesterday morning. No serious damage resulted from the fir®.
