CITY BUILDING PERMITS
A total of 151 btiilding permits, representing a value of £48,993, was issued by the Christchurch City Council in April, compared with 101 permits and a building value of £49,162 in April last year. Numbers, with values, for the respective wards (with last year’s comparisons in parentheses) were:—lnner central 14 (6), £5250 (£1745); outer central 8 (6), £2889 (£1660); St. Albans 32 (25), £BBO6 (£17.945); Sydenham '2O (18), £4938 (£9539); Linwood 24 (16), £6394 (£7235); Spreydon 17 «9), £3617 (£3267); Woolston 15 (5), £9020 (£620); New Brighton 10 (15). £3135 (£7001); Sumner 11 (1), £4944 (£150).
