ST. BARNABAS’ CHURCH
MEETING OF PARISHIONERS Officers elected at the annual meeting of parishioners of St Barnabas’ Church, Fendalton, were as follows: churchwardens, Messrs G. O. Greenwood, J. R. L. Hilson, and A. L. Jones (for St. Thomas’);' vestry, Messrs L. S. Ayers, K. Cooke, F. G. Harding. A. D. Harman, W. Crotty, J. B. Williams. D. Wood, B. Beckett, L. T. K. Allison, and F. H. A. Lamb (for St. Thomas’); treasurer, Mr F. J. Shanks; auditor; Mr C. H. Clibborn; synodsmen, Messrs C. S. Hammond and R. S. D. Harman. Canon F. B. Redgrave presided at the meeting, which was well attended. The annual reports showed a satisfactory year’s activities. The vicar stated that the parish was under-staffed, and the meeting authorised him to try to obtain the services of a Church Army sister or a deaconess.
A considerable sum was promised at the meeting for the completion of the Sunday School which is to be the parish’s thanks offering for victory.
