SOUTH BRIGHTON BUS SERVICE

Sir, —The South Brighton bus service is run not for the benefit of the residents but for the contractor. “Fed Up” mentioned the bus running on Sundays for six months of thp year if it is fine, and no bus the other six months. None of these trips go to the real terminus either. The peculiar thing about the service is that it has two different termini, and al] at the same fare. A service like this will ruin the district instead of making it more popular. The bus does not even go far enough; for some of the residents have a fair walk as it is to eonnect with it. at the real terminus, wnen it arrives there, which the bus does not always do. The sooner the Tramway Board takes over the service the better it will be for the district.—Yours, etc., ALSO FED UP. April 17, 1946. [Mr J. McGregor, the contractor, had no comment to make when this letter was referred to him.]
