Double V.C. Winner To Fly To London
WILL TAKE PART IN VICTORY PARADE Captain C. H. Upham, V.C. and bar, has acceded to the special request of the New Zealand Government to take part in the Victory march in London
on June 8. He will travel by air to Britain and back to New Zealand. He will leave New Zealand on May 27, and is due in Britain «on June 1. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said last evening that the action of Captain Upham in agreeing to take part in the parade would be. appreciated by all. There are two Victoria Cross winners on their way to Britain with the New Zealand contingent on the Maunganui. They are Colonel L. W. Andrew, V.C., D. 5.0., and Sergeant A. C. Hulme, V.C.
