Sir, —It is amusing to read in the papfer of the scramble taking place among citizens and institutions, all asking for more and still irtdre. “Thfe Press" to-day reports the farmers clamouring for 8s a bushel to grow wheat. Last year if they got 7s Id they would grow wheat on the asphalt {laths. The Prime Minister visited a physiotheraphy school (masseurs or muscle rubbing) and promises £20,000 On top of approximately £100,006 al-, ready contributed, and the intention is to ask for more. Tobacco leaf growers are to receive Ijd more a pound, says Mr SiilliVari. Teachers Have been fduha teaching Children to play games. Holy smoke, they have not been paid overtime. Officers on £2OOO a year can how retire on £966 instead of £3OO. Abortionists are making £2OOO yearly in spite of Dr. Marie Stopes’s published statement that margarine prevents venereal diseases and starves abortionists.— Yours, etc., WHAT’S IT ALL COMING TO?
