DEATH OF DEER STALKER
BODY FOUND IN BUSH (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, May S. The body of Neville Spooner, a single man, aged 28, of Carterton, who left Te Anau for the head of the lake a month ago on a deer-stalking expedition, was found in dense bush a mile in from the north arm of the lake today. The condition of the body sug?;ested that death had occurred more han three weeks ago. Spooner’s diary was found and in it there was reference to illness. The diary had been kept for four days. The cause of death is npt yet known.
