Proposals For Action Discussed CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE ' CAMPAIGN

The Arab Higher Committee in Palestine has appointed a sub-committee to draft plans for the mobilisation of Palestine Arab youth “in the service of the country,” says the Jerusalem correspondent of Reuter’s. The plans Include a civil disobedience campaign. The Damascus correspondent of Reuter’s reports that the Syrian Arabs have decided to accept the Palestine Arab Committee’s invitation to strike on May 3. * Protest letters are being sent to Britain and America by all parties and organisations. Reuter’s correspondent in Cairo quotes an Egyptian press report that a general strike of all Arab countries is called for May 10. It is also proposed to hold an Arab congress.
