LEAGUE FOR HARD OF HEARING.
• AUTUMN SHOW HELD
The rooms of~the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand League for the Hard of Hearing were bright with chrysanthemum's and aqtumn foliage yesterday, when the branch held its fiutumn show. The show this year was on a mere ambitious scale than usual, two new' sections, photographic and hpme industries, having been introduced. The produce section was well up ■to the usual standard, and there were some outstanding exhibits in the cut flower and decorative sections. * During the afternoon » successful ’’bring and buy” sale was held. The cup for most points in the Show was won by Miss K. Scott. Other awards are as follows;—ept flowers: Miss K. Scott 1, C. H Barton 3. Fruit and vegetables: H. Dyer 1, Miss I, Nunweek .2, Decorative: Miss K. Scott 1, C. R. Barton and Miss M Tabor (equal) 2. Prises of bulbs for winners in these sections were given by E. C, Gibbons, Home industries: Miss N. Throp 1, Miss K. Sgott 2. (Prize given by Mr R. H. BaHfintyne,) In the photography ration au the awards were gained by C. H. Barton. Coloured films were given by an anonymous Christchurch firm as the prize in this section.
